Job Title: Day Treatment Qualified Professional

Getting Ready Inc is seeking a qualified and dedicated Day Treatment Qualified Professional to join our team in our school-based Day Treatment program.

Job Summary

The Day Treatment Qualified Professional will work with up to 6 clients in the Day Treatment program, providing daily group therapy sessions and assisting clients in learning, developing, and utilizing coping strategies, social skills, and other skills to become successful and improve functioning in the school, home, and community settings.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide daily psychoeducational/psychotherapeutic groups and activities for up to 6 clients and for up to 6 hours per day.
  • Coordinate Child and Family Team meetings with all those involved in client's care.
  • Develop and implement the Person Centered Plan for each client, revising and updating the PCP as needed, including adding psychoeducational/psychotherapeutic interventions to the client's PCP as needed.
  • Provide additional case management functions of linking, arranging for services, and referrals for each client.
  • Keep in close contact with families and people involved in the client's care to encourage and promote family involvement.
  • Provide first responder crisis plans, which may require face-to-face and/or telephonically services at times.
  • Assure proper administration of all medication and proper documentation (if applicable).
  • Develop the daily/weekly/monthly activities schedule with the clients.
  • Document each client's progress and the effectiveness of the strategies and interventions outlined in the PCP. This includes a daily written progress note for each client.
  • Collaborate with the medical and treatment providers.
  • Collaborate with school staff and administration.
  • Complete NCTopps questionnaires with clients/families.
  • Be part of a Day Treatment Team that works closely together and meets weekly to review client updates, effectiveness of interventions used, and additional support.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will meet the qualifications for a Qualified Professional according to state definitions 10A NCAC 27G.0104. This includes holding a license, provisional license, certificate, registration or permit issued by the governing board regulating a human service profession, or having a Master's degree in a human service field and one year of full-time, post-graduate degree accumulated experience with the population served, or having a bachelor's degree in a human services field and two years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated experience with the population served, or having a bachelor's degree in a field other than human services and four years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated experience with the population served.

The candidate must also have the skill, knowledge, and experience with child/adolescent Mental Health.
