Mental Health Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and empathetic individual to join our team as a Community Support Team Qualified Professional. This role is crucial to the delivery of high-quality mental health and substance use services, helping clients achieve their recovery goals and improve their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to identify strengths, needs, and goals.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the client, family, and CST team members.
- Provide direct therapeutic interventions, including individual, family, and group therapy, as well as crisis intervention when necessary.
- Coordinate and link clients to community resources, including housing, employment, education, and healthcare services.
- Advocate for clients within various systems, such as healthcare, judicial, and social services, to ensure they receive the support they need.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure positive outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all services provided in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other CST team members, including the Team Lead, Peer Support Specialists, and other professionals, to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to care.
- Participate in regular team meetings and case conferences to discuss client progress and coordinate care.
- Promote the values of recovery, person-centered care, and cultural competence in all interactions with clients and team members.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with mental health or substance use challenges, preferably in a community-based setting.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health and substance use treatment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to person-centered care and cultural competence.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
