Job Summary:
As a Family Centered Treatment Therapist, you will provide comprehensive mental health therapy services to clients with complex mental health disorders using the Family Centered Treatment model. This role requires a strong understanding of family dynamics, mental health issues, and substance abuse and addiction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct independent diagnostic and psycho-social evaluations, and provide therapy services that focus on complicated mental health issues, family issues, parenting issues, adolescent issues, and substance abuse and addiction.
- Evaluate client and family situations, and develop person-centered plans based on comprehensive clinical interviews.
- Provide in-depth therapy, including crisis intervention and treatment of complex co-occurring mental health and personality disorders.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling and activities adapted or specifically designed for persons with physical disabilities, co-occurring disorders, mental illness, and substance abuse/dependence.
Requirements:
Education:
Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in a Human Service field is preferred. The ideal candidate will meet requirements under 10A NCAC 27G.0104 as a Qualified Professional for Mental Health. A Master's degree in a human services or related field, along with two years of progressive child and family mental health/substance use counseling experience, is highly desirable.
