Job Summary:

This position provides mental health services to inmates, including crisis intervention, screening, and treatment planning under the supervision of a Psychologist/Mental Health Clinician Senior.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide mental health services to inmates, including individual and group therapy, and treatment planning.
  • Screen, track, and monitor inmates with mental health needs in intake, general population, and Restorative Housing.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor mental health services, policies, and programs at the facility.
  • Collaborate with Administration, Security, Treatment, and Community Corrections staff to provide in-service training and support.

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or equivalent degree in a related human services field.
  • Experience providing mental health services in a correctional, forensic, outpatient, or other setting.
  • Licensed as a clinician, QMHP, or QMHP eligible as dictated by the Code of Virginia.
