Strategic Partnership Development Manager

About the Role
The Associate Director for Institutional Partnerships will play a key leadership role in Acumen's Development and Partnerships team, focusing on corporations and foundations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for building funding partnerships for lasting impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a funding pipeline for priority initiatives, lead ideation and pitch meetings, and formalize best practices for developing partnerships.
- Identify and develop new institutional partnerships, collaborating with other functions as needed.
- Manage internal processes related to partner evaluation, internal communication, and tracking metrics.
- Conduct annual assessments of institutional partnerships, providing recommendations for engagement and internal synergies.
- Cultivate opportunities at events, conferences, and forums for Acumen to share its work with corporate audiences.
- Join and contribute to alliances within the social impact sector focused on corporate-social enterprise partnerships.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 10 years of experience in fundraising and relationship management.
- Experience with program development and implementation, working across teams and creating budgets.
- Strategic view and ability to work through complexity, grasping the entirety of the Acumen ecosystem.
- Experience designing strategies to cultivate new prospects, with a track record of building and maintaining strategic funding relationships with corporations.
- Ability to bridge the gap between the nonprofit and for-profit worlds, with exceptional interpersonal skills and a willingness to take risks.
