Position Title:

Part-Time Faculty, Respiratory Care

Position Overview:

Summary:

This role is dedicated to enhancing the Respiratory Care educational program. The part-time faculty member is responsible for delivering instruction in both theoretical and practical settings as required.

Key Responsibilities:

The following duties are essential for this position:
1. Conduct courses in both theoretical and practical aspects of Respiratory Care.
2. Support students in achieving core educational outcomes utilizing the most effective and scholarly resources available.
3. Assess students' psychomotor, affective, and cognitive competencies.
4. Uphold a respectful environment for all students.
5. Provide updates on student performance to the Program Coordinator.
6. Exhibit outstanding teaching effectiveness as indicated by favorable feedback on evaluations.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Associate Degree in a relevant field.
2. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
3. Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
4. Acquire the necessary state licensure within six months of employment if currently licensed out of state.
5. A minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience in Respiratory Care practice.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. At least one (1) year of experience in classroom instruction.
2. One (1) year of experience in an intensive care unit (ICU).
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Learning Management Systems such as Blackboard.
4. Ability to employ diverse teaching methods that acknowledge and respect cultural differences in a varied workplace.
