We are seeking a skilled and passionate CAD/Solidworks Engineering Instructor to join our team. This role involves delivering engaging and informative training programs to adult learners in both open enrollment and contract training settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of computer-aided design (CAD) principles, CNC manufacturing processes, and adult learning methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and Workforce Development program personnel.
  • Stay abreast of current educational trends and best practices in the field.
  • Contribute to program enrichment through research on workforce development initiatives.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality curriculum for non-credit courses in CAD/Solidworks Engineering.
  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations for program improvement.
  • Participate actively in meetings and contribute to the success of the Workforce Development team.
  • Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures, including FERPA requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry certifications relevant to CAD/Solidworks Engineering.
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in the field.
  • Experience teaching adult learners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems such as PeopleSoft and Blackboard.
  • Experience in a higher education environment.
