Job Overview:

The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist collaborates with leadership and departmental heads, guiding and advising internal stakeholders in the formulation of recruitment strategies aimed at attracting and securing top-tier talent. This role is pivotal in crafting and executing effective sourcing methodologies and proactive outreach initiatives to engage qualified candidates for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to departmental leaders and hiring authorities, remaining attuned to current and future staffing requirements.
  2. Facilitate strategy discussions with hiring authorities to ensure a comprehensive understanding of business needs and alignment of recruitment objectives.
  3. Inform hiring authorities about recruitment obligations, legal considerations, and candidate management processes.
  4. Design and implement insightful sourcing strategies, including initiatives for diversity outreach, to proactively identify and engage both active and passive candidates; maintain a diverse talent pool.
  5. Conduct initial screenings via phone or in-person to assess candidates against job specifications, present the most suitable candidates to hiring authorities, coordinate interviews, and provide guidance in candidate selection.
  6. Assist hiring authorities and candidates throughout the recruitment process, including interviewing, candidate selection, salary negotiations, offer presentation, and onboarding.
  7. Collaborate effectively with management, Compensation, and HR Business Partners to ensure recruitment expenses align with budgetary constraints.
  8. Document recruitment activities in the applicant tracking system (ATS) promptly and accurately to ensure compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  9. Utilize ATS and various analytical tools to monitor recruitment metrics and identify market trends to inform recruitment strategies.
  10. Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  11. Represent the organization at various events, including career fairs and campus recruitment initiatives.
  12. Exercise discretion and sound judgment in the execution of essential job functions.
  13. Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance.
  14. Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  15. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  1. In-depth knowledge of effective recruitment strategies, methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  2. Proficiency in ATS software and other recruitment systems.
  3. Understanding of employment laws and regulations relevant to recruitment and hiring.
  4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Demonstrated interpersonal skills with individuals at all organizational levels.
  6. Ability to cultivate and maintain a broad network of professional relationships.
  7. Capability to persuade and influence both candidates and hiring authorities.
  8. Exemplary customer service skills.
  9. Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks while demonstrating urgency in achieving business objectives.
  10. Business acumen and analytical thinking skills.
  11. Ability to design and implement comprehensive recruitment campaigns.
  12. Capacity to produce accurate and timely work.
  13. Confidentiality and adherence to policies.
  14. Willingness to travel as necessary.
  15. Proficient in using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), as well as web-based tools and business systems, including ATS software.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  2. A minimum of 4 years of full-cycle corporate, RPO, or contract recruiting experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
  3. Relevant employment and recruiting certifications (e.g., ACIR, CSSR, CSMR, PRC) are preferred.
