    • Accountable for delivering exceptional customer service and precision regarding plan benefits and related processes. Assesses inquiries from members and providers within Health Plan Operations and manages requests accordingly. Serves as the main point of contact for plan benefit inquiries across all business lines for both internal and external stakeholders. Responsible for both verbal and written correspondence to members and providers in response to inquiries and requests.
  • DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
    • Samaritan Health Plans (SHP) manages a diverse range of health plan offerings under various legal frameworks: InterCommunity Health Plans, Inc. (IHN) functions as a regional Coordinated Care Organization (CCO) for Medicaid recipients; Samaritan Health Plans, Inc. provides Medicare Advantage, Commercial Large Group, and Commercial Large Group PPO and EPO plans; SHP also acts as the third-party administrator for Samaritan Health Services' self-funded employee health benefit plan. Aligned with the mission of Building Healthier Communities Together, SHP operates within an Integrated Delivery System.
  • QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
    • High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
    • A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in customer service is required.
    • Experience in a health plan environment is preferred.
    • Familiarity with State and Federal regulations (including Medicare and Medicaid) is preferred.
  • SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for conducting group presentations, addressing issues tactfully, and comprehending concepts, rules, and procedures. Ability to collaborate with all organizational levels, facilitate communication, and effectively document related activities.
