Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Systems Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a Deputy Field Response Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining close working relationships with other organizations within the company and with customers to deliver comprehensive schedules and project plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure adherence to processes and procedures for all engineers supporting the contract.
  • Schedule Development: Assist with schedule development, prepare correspondence and reports of a technical nature, and coordinate with the customer and technical staff.
  • Project Management: Ensure major projects and program schedules and plans are integrated across functional groups, including training, operations, material, and quality.
  • Technical Issue Resolution: Identify, communicate, and coordinate technical issues and drive technical issues to closure.
  • Signature Authority: Serve as a signature authority for the Systems Engineering and Integration Technical Team on engineering releases at plant and for the field.
  • Root Cause Corrective Actions: Drive root cause corrective actions and coordinate the resulting solutions with engineering technical areas to ensure proper engineering documentation is released and valid.
  • Technical Advice: Provide technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration, or enhancement of company technical products, programs, and systems.
  • Engineering Expertise: Manage engineering expertise for resolving technical problems, troubleshooting, and modifying products in accordance with customer requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university with 14 years of experience in engineering, or a Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university with 12 years of experience in engineering, or a PhD in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university with 9 years of experience in engineering.
  • Clearance: Active in-scope DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • Program Access: Ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
  • Technical Skills: High proficiency in technical problem-solving, including root cause analysis, solution development, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to lead technical teams and brief top leadership and the customer.
  • Experience: Experience with the operation, integration, configuration, and maintenance of fielded systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication skills along with proven success working in an integrated product team environment.
  • Technical Presentation Skills: Proven ability to brief technical presentations to stakeholders.
  • Special Program Access: Active Special Program Access (PAR/SAP).
