Position Overview

RICK Engineering Company is seeking a dedicated Associate Project Manager to contribute to impactful infrastructure projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and play a crucial part in transforming visionary concepts into reality.

Key Responsibilities

As an Associate Project Manager, you will:

  • Guide and oversee the engineering processes for various projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and public agency representatives, enhancing collaboration and communication.
  • Supervise engineering designers, managing daily tasks and ensuring quality control of deliverables.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets effectively, preparing necessary contracts and proposals.
  • Conduct preliminary engineering design studies, considering land use, zoning, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and process subdivision maps and public improvement plans for both commercial and residential developments.
  • Review hydrologic studies and drainage reports to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) and California Professional Engineer registration.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in land development or a total of ten years in a related field.
  • Strong decision-making and independent thought capabilities.
  • Management and supervisory experience, with a focus on building positive working relationships.
Technical Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D or MicroStation/Inroads CAD is required. Candidates should demonstrate extensive experience in land development projects and effective interaction with clients and public agencies.
