Position Overview
As a Mid-Market Account Executive, you will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities to sell our core applications and associated services within the mid-market sector. You will manage and advance sales opportunities through strategic selling, negotiation, and closing, while continuously expanding the Deputy client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a self-sourced sales pipeline of qualified leads within the mid-market sector.
- Become a trusted advisor for clients, providing insights on key market trends and challenges.
- Guide a consultative sales process from qualification to conversion, utilizing a revenue framework to assess customer pain points, collaborate with champions and buying committees, drive consensus on solutions, and involve additional team members as needed.
- Deliver impactful sales presentations and product demonstrations to Operations, Finance, HR, Payroll, and IT departments, positioning Deputy as a unique solution provider.
- Negotiate favorable deal terms to secure new business and ensure long-term success for new clients.
- Utilize MEDDPICC or similar revenue frameworks to communicate your sales pipeline forecast.
- Maintain accurate sales records and prospect statuses using Salesforce, Gong, and other sales tools.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (Marketing, Business Development, Account Management, Solutions Architecture, Support, Product, and Finance) to develop strategies that maximize value for prospects and clients.
- Represent Deputy and uphold your brand with professionalism and integrity.
- Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in a closing role within the B2B SaaS and/or Workforce Management Technology sectors.
- Experience selling software solutions in complex environments with large buying committees.
- Demonstrated success in B2B SaaS sales, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
- Familiarity with revenue frameworks such as MEDDPICC, SPICED, Force Management, Sandler, or Challenger.
- Proven ability to cultivate a qualified sales pipeline.
- Exceptional communication, writing, and presentation skills.
- Experience in building outbound pipelines based on product-market fit and targeting named accounts.
- Prior experience with Account-based Sales strategies and marketing initiatives is advantageous.
- Experience in territory planning and execution is preferred.
- Experience mentoring BDRs to achieve sales objectives is a plus.
- Experience selling to franchise brands is beneficial.
- Experience in co-selling with integrated software partners is a plus.
Compensation
$178,000 - $206,260 annually
