Position Summary:

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor oversees all aspects of warehouse activities, including the receipt and dispatch of goods. Manages warehouse processes to guarantee the precise and prompt movement of products throughout the facility. Collaborates as a team member within the department and the broader organization, fulfilling any assigned responsibilities to optimally serve the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leads team members, including but not limited to: recruitment, training, mentoring, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution. Ensures staff exhibits professionalism, competence, and motivation through effective selection, development, and continuous assessment. Advocates for safety by reinforcing existing safety protocols, implementing additional initiatives, conducting safety meetings, and discussing workers' compensation matters.
  • Collaborates closely with the Transportation Manager to maximize operational efficiency. Oversees the accurate and timely loading/unloading of trucks by managing workload scheduling and product delivery within the warehouse. May operate powered material handling equipment as required.
  • Analyzes inventory status reports and partners with inventory personnel to ensure accurate stock counts are maintained to meet customer demands, while also communicating about low stock levels, seasonal fluctuations, and promotional activities.
  • Coordinates with inventory teams to return outdated products to suppliers or facilitate sales to other distributors as necessary.
  • Ensures the upkeep of the facility and equipment by supervising maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Communicates stock shortages to customers by providing relevant information to Customer Service Representatives, Warehouse Shift Supervisors, and Operations Managers regarding shortages, available alternatives, and documenting all pertinent details.
  • Maintains familiarity with and adheres to standardized operating procedures, ensuring all departmental staff do the same.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience

4-6 years of experience in warehouse operations and supervisory roles, with comprehensive knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures.

Possesses strong problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and a motivating approach to providing feedback and coaching.
