**Job Summary**
The Shop Inventory Assistant is an exciting opportunity to support the Shop Inventory Specialist in maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring efficient stock management, and providing exceptional support to technicians. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a passion for inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory counts and conducting periodic cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Support the daily issue and return of inventory to the maintenance warehouse, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Receive and process inventory shipments, verifying quantities and accuracy.
- Perform route consolidation of inventory, streamlining processes and reducing waste.
- Other duties as assigned by management, including supporting technicians with inventory-related tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks without supervision, demonstrating strong self-motivation and initiative.
- Basic Office 365 skills in Excel, Outlook, and Teams, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and complete data workbooks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and precision in all tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all departments, building strong relationships and ensuring seamless collaboration.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-2 years' relevant work experience in inventory management or a related field.
- Forklift operator experience, with a valid certification.
- Prior experience with inventory management/ERP systems, with a strong understanding of inventory control principles.
Job Setting & Physical Demands:
This role is primarily based in a covered area, with occasional requirements to work between locations and within an indoor office environment. The ability to work in all outdoor elements, including dust and allergens, is essential. The position requires long-term ability for standing, sitting, squatting, bending, reaching, and twisting on a regular basis to fulfill essential duties. The ability to operate all machinery necessary within the department and across the facility, including driving a scooter, is also required.
The employee must be able to lift 50 pounds unaided and 75 pounds with assistance. The typical work schedule is Monday-Friday, with occasional overtime and weekend work required during peak seasons.
