Position Overview

The District Auditor role entails the meticulous counting of all physical inventories, generating comprehensive departmental audit reports, reconciling discrepancies between computer data and physical counts, and identifying errors encountered during the process.

This position collaborates closely with various departments to enhance inventory accuracy and minimize discrepancies.

Compensation:
$15-16/hour

Key Responsibilities


Conduct thorough accounting reviews at the store level during retail inventory assessments; work in partnership with District Managers and Store Managers to pinpoint and address store-related issues.

Develop an initial audit schedule for the district, including a rotation of neighboring stores.

Assist Store Managers with invoice discrepancies, store organization, pricing adjustments, and any irregularities identified in the system.

Perform a visual checklist at each store, documenting store conditions, maintenance concerns, safety issues, marketing promotions, and loss prevention strategies.


Complete 15-20 retail inventory audits monthly, which includes tasks such as data entry for processing audit paperwork, generating reports, and uploading/scanning necessary documentation.

Achieve the established average per hour (APH) counting target while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the collected data.

Demonstrate the ability to work in diverse environments, with potential exposure to varying temperatures.


Communicate information clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing, fostering cooperation and building effective partnerships.


Proactively explore and propose innovative approaches that can enhance the quality and efficiency of job performance and organizational effectiveness.

Maintain a positive attitude, approach tasks with enthusiasm, exhibit a sense of urgency, and deliver high-quality results.

Complete additional job-related responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

Ability to frequently bend, kneel, and lift products weighing up to 25 lbs.

Engage in repetitive motions requiring the use of both wrists and hands while operating counting machines.

Proficient in computer operations, including Microsoft Office and Open Office applications.

Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays.

Commitment to a 40-50 hour workweek, including daily travel to various locations.

Reliable transportation is essential for conducting audits throughout the designated market.
