Senior Fuel Inventory Analyst
Position Overview:
Oversees the reconciliation of financial records associated with fuel deliveries and inventory across various locations by evaluating multiple data elements (such as sales figures, delivery logs, and inventory levels) to ensure alignment between carrier-supplied data and information gathered at fuel stations. This role is crucial in identifying discrepancies that may affect operational efficiency and addressing potential environmental and regulatory concerns (including leaks and fuel contamination). Additionally, it involves validating third-party billing and payment systems for fuel transactions to ensure financial accuracy and minimizing adverse impacts on profit and loss statements.
Contributes to the oversight of essential financial metrics (including sales, costs, and inventory levels) that influence project margins by generating reports on locations with margin and inventory inconsistencies. This position also involves making strategic recommendations to senior management to rectify discrepancies affecting profitability and collaborating with suppliers, merchants, and finance teams to resolve issues.
Evaluates pending fuel deliveries by identifying patterns across locations and communicating these trends through targeted training sessions with carriers and fuel personnel. This includes requesting necessary legal documentation from carriers to support delivery processes and updating databases with the latest information provided by third-party fuel systems for effective workflow and reporting management.
Facilitates training across various teams (including third-party fuel providers and new employees) to ensure accurate financial reconciliation by pinpointing skill gaps, proposing relevant training content, and implementing educational programs for all involved parties while providing constructive feedback on progress and areas for improvement.
Exhibits current expertise and applies this knowledge to the formulation, execution, and enhancement of action plans by offering expert guidance and support to others in utilizing information and best practices, aligning efforts to meet both customer and business requirements, and fostering commitment to shared perspectives and rationales.
Delivers and supports the deployment of business solutions by cultivating relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, identifying business requirements, executing necessary processes, monitoring progress and outcomes, recognizing and leveraging opportunities for improvement, and adapting to shifting demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
Models adherence to company policies and procedures while supporting the organization's mission, values, and ethical standards by integrating these principles into the development and execution of business plans, utilizing established communication protocols, and demonstrating to others how to apply these in their business practices.
