Position Summary:

This role oversees all aspects of warehouse operations, including the receipt and dispatch of goods. It is essential to manage warehouse activities to guarantee the precise and timely movement of products. The position requires collaboration within the team and across the organization, performing various tasks as necessary to fulfill company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leads team members, which includes responsibilities such as hiring, training, mentoring, performance evaluation, and resolving issues. Ensures staff uphold professionalism, competence, and motivation through effective selection, development, and continuous assessment. Advocates for safety by reinforcing existing safety protocols, conducting safety meetings, and discussing workers' compensation costs.
  • Collaborates closely with the Transportation Manager to maximize operational efficiency. Oversees the loading and unloading of trucks to ensure accuracy and timeliness by managing workload scheduling and product delivery.
  • Analyzes inventory reports and coordinates with inventory personnel to ensure accurate stock counts are maintained to meet customer demands, while communicating about low stock levels, seasonal variations, and promotional activities.
  • Works with inventory staff to return outdated products to suppliers or sell to other distributors as necessary.
  • Supervises maintenance and repair activities to ensure the facility and equipment are in optimal condition.
  • Communicates stock shortages to customers by providing relevant information to Customer Service Representatives, Warehouse Shift Supervisors, and Operations Managers regarding shortages and available alternatives.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of standardized operating procedures and ensures compliance among all department personnel.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience

4-6 years of experience in warehouse operations and supervisory roles, with comprehensive knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures.

Strong problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and a motivating approach to providing feedback and coaching.
