Key Responsibilities:

The JCC Association is in search of a dynamic and forward-thinking leader to guide an organization with a significant legacy of serving diverse communities. The new Chief Executive Officer will step into this role during a transformative period, playing an essential part in shaping, executing, and operationalizing the strategic vision of the organization while ensuring its financial health and operational effectiveness. This individual will be responsible for making pivotal decisions regarding the future direction of the organization, providing strategic insight on how to best meet the needs of the community in an ever-changing environment.

This leader will oversee a variety of programs vital to both the Jewish community and the wider population, tasked with cultivating the necessary philanthropic and administrative support to guarantee the success of current and future initiatives. As a key figure in the organization, this leader will inspire and motivate a dedicated team and Board members who are enthusiastic about advancing the organization’s mission. It is crucial that this leader exemplifies strong relationship-building and operational capabilities, empowers staff, and maintains the highest standards of integrity.

As the head of the organization, the Chief Executive Officer will have a significant opportunity to enhance the lives of individuals across the community.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to create a forward-thinking vision and strategy that addresses community needs.
  • Work alongside the Board and development team to set clear fundraising objectives aligned with the strategic vision, and scale fundraising efforts accordingly.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners, identifying opportunities for collaboration with like-minded organizations to enhance community service.
  • Encourage teamwork and effectiveness, enhancing organizational capacity both within the association and with other entities to meet community needs and achieve shared objectives.
  • Lead a passionate team across a diverse range of services and programs to effectively engage the community.
  • Establish robust infrastructure, communication channels, processes, and operational protocols to ensure the organization is well-positioned to meet its strategic goals.
  • Work with Board members to leverage their expertise, networks, and resources in support of the organization’s mission while ensuring excellence in program delivery.
  • Act as the primary spokesperson and advocate for the organization, fostering collaboration among programs and departments.
  • Ensure the financial stability and integrity of the organization through prudent budgeting, planning, and stewardship.
  • Develop appropriate infrastructure, communication, processes, and operational protocols to ensure the organization continues to progress and achieve its strategic objectives.
Strategic Vision & Leadership: Experience in crafting an innovative vision, defining priorities, and developing strategies to propel the organization forward and enhance its impact; ability to creatively envision future scenarios and guide others in adapting to evolving circumstances.
  • Operational Leadership: Proven track record of managing a comparable organization of similar scope and size, demonstrating strong leadership, organizational, and personnel management skills, including a history of staff development and collaborative work.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to engage diverse audiences, including Board members, donors, staff, and external partners, with a high emotional intelligence to connect across various cultural and religious communities.
  • Fundraising Expertise: Strong acumen in fundraising with experience in developing revenue streams from various sources; entrepreneurial mindset in this domain.
  • Innovative & Entrepreneurial: Employs creative approaches and innovative ideas to develop solutions.
  • Mission-Driven: A deep commitment to the organization’s mission and a personal and professional dedication to community engagement.
