Position Overview

The Software Licensing Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting Software Asset Management (SAM) processes for a government client. This position entails the execution of policies, procedures, and actions that identify, monitor, and manage software licenses to facilitate the Software Asset Management activities of the customer agency across the organization.

This role operates in a hybrid model, with on-site presence required on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Team Lead to ensure timely prioritization of project deliverables.
  • Provide both technical and administrative support to ensure that assets, products, and services acquired and deployed adhere to service level agreements, contract specifications, and expected quality and quantity standards.
  • Deliver support services that encompass user assistance, software installations, procurement assistance, renewals, removals, entitlement and proof of purchase tracking, network scan reconciliation, and documentation for procurement packages.
  • Oversee the software asset inventory and reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the review, processing, and tracking of all software licensing and maintenance requests from initial submission through to delivery.
  • Gather and maintain precise Software Licensing information in repositories to facilitate budgeting, software compliance and inventory management, contract oversight, cost analysis, and responses to internal and external audit inquiries.
  • Analyze software data to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with notice periods for changes and cancellations.
  • Respond to inquiries from Software Owners, end users, managers, developers, and team members regarding specific IT Software Asset Management information.

Qualifications

Required Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, or Engineering; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to collect, organize, and synthesize large volumes of information.
  • Proficient in Excel and PDF tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Required Clearance:

  • US Citizenship is mandatory.
  • Capability to obtain a secret clearance; an active Secret clearance is preferred.
  • Must secure an interim secret clearance prior to commencing work.

Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. This estimate reflects the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other relevant factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not mandate COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Compliance with customer site vaccination requirements is necessary when work is conducted at a customer location.
