Position Overview
This role involves a variety of responsibilities centered around the management and oversight of IT assets and configurations. The incumbent will:

Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all IT resources, including hardware, software, and licensing agreements.
2. Ensure adherence to federal regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
3. Monitor software licensing to confirm compliance and prevent unauthorized usage.
4. Identify and evaluate risks associated with IT asset and configuration management.
5. Generate insightful reports on asset utilization, compliance status, and configuration modifications.
6. Design, implement, and maintain hardware and software configurations for uniform deployment.
7. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve intricate desktop engineering challenges.
8. Develop and enforce standardized image libraries and deployment protocols for efficient desktop configuration.
9. Ensure that the system of records has precise entries for Mobile, Asset, Software, and Change Management.
10. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
Conditions of Employment
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Candidates are required to obtain the necessary security clearance.
- A probationary period may be required if conditions are not met.

Qualifications
To qualify for the IT Specialist position, candidates must demonstrate the following competencies:

1. Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in work and conscientiousness in attending to details.
2. Customer Service: Ability to work with clients to assess needs, provide assistance, and resolve issues.
3. Oral Communication: Effectively convey information to individuals or groups, adapting to the audience and context.

Specialized Experience
Applicants must possess 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal Service, including:

- Advanced knowledge of configuration management principles and methods for developing standardized image libraries and deployment policies.
- Technical expertise in configuration management to ensure thorough documentation and maintenance of configurations.
- Experience in evaluating, designing, and implementing new technologies within the IT services environment.
- Skills in evaluating, designing, and implementing security controls to mitigate desktop cyber risks in compliance with federal mandates.
