Position Overview

The Software Licensing Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting Software Asset Management (SAM) processes for a government client. This position involves the execution of policies, procedures, and initiatives that identify, monitor, and manage software licenses to facilitate the agency's Software Asset Management efforts across the organization.

This role is hybrid, requiring onsite presence on designated days.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Team Lead to ensure effective prioritization of project deliverables.
  • Provide both technical and administrative support to guarantee that the assets, products, and services acquired and implemented meet service level agreements, contract specifications, and expected quality and quantity standards.
  • Deliver a range of support services, including user assistance, software installations, procurement support, renewals, removals, entitlement tracking, network scan reconciliation, and documentation for procurement packages.
  • Oversee the software asset inventory and reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the review, processing, and tracking of all software licensing and maintenance requests from initial submission through to delivery.
  • Maintain accurate Software Licensing information in repositories to support budgeting, software compliance, inventory management, contracts, and audit inquiries.
  • Analyze software data to inform critical business decisions.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with notice periods for changes and cancellations.
  • Respond to inquiries from Software Owners, end users, managers, developers, and team members regarding specific IT Software Asset Management information.

Qualifications

Required Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, or Engineering; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with a proven capacity to gather, organize, and synthesize large volumes of information.
  • Proficient in Excel and PDF applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Required Clearance:

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Eligibility to obtain a secret clearance; active Secret clearance is preferred.
  • Must secure an interim secret clearance prior to commencing work.

Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. This estimate reflects the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other relevant factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not mandate COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Compliance with customer site vaccination requirements is necessary when work is performed at a customer location.
