  • Document all asset management protocols and methodologies.
  • Oversee, integrate, and enhance the asset and software licensing components within the IT Service Management (ITSM) tool.
  • Maintain the asset management database, ensuring it holds all necessary information for the lifecycle of IT assets.
  • Address discrepancies found in the asset management database and update records following any custodial changes.
  • Reconcile discovered assets that are not recorded in the asset management database.
  • Manage storage locations for assets awaiting deployment or disposal.
  • Keep documentation related to asset management processes and procedures up to date.
  • Collaborate with various departments including OIT, business, finance, procurement, and legal to generate reports that aid in vendor contract negotiations.
  • Stay informed about changes in software or hardware and plan accordingly.
  • Oversee and track software licenses, reviewing volume and expenditure agreements to ensure compliance.
  • Validate the receipt of tracked assets and resolve any discrepancies with vendors.
  • Conduct scheduled quality assurance tasks to validate asset management database records.

Desired Experience:

  • Ability to collaborate with business, finance, procurement, and legal departments to produce reports that facilitate vendor contract negotiations.
  • Experience in logistics related to the packing and shipment of assets.
  • Familiarity with a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and the business services it supports.
  • Strong understanding of software licensing agreements.
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management processes.
  • Capability to perform assigned tasks independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Asset Management.
  • Possession of a Quality Certification (such as ITIL or equivalent).
