Job Title: Business Development Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team at Boston Beer Company. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for increasing availability and visibility of our brand within your assigned distributor territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute internal sales objectives and improve account conditions using our sales process and systems.
  • Learn and be proficient in beer industry knowledge, brewing, and our product styles.
  • Hunt for new business opportunities while growing current business in multi-unit chains and key accounts.
  • Utilize effective verbal and written communication with wholesalers, accounts, and coworkers, including the ability to deliver impactful presentations.
  • Use internal and external data to plan and identify opportunities across the district.
  • Build strong relationships with wholesalers and retailers by providing leadership and training across defined geography.
  • Assist in developing goals, strategies, objectives, and tactics for the defined district.
  • Manage budget for the given district and account base.
  • Conduct monthly/quarterly planning and review meetings to benchmark current progress to goal and sell our objectives.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of proven results-oriented experience in outside sales or within the food and beverage industry.
  • An intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality.
  • Valid driver's license, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive to and from accounts continuously.
  • Ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently.
  • Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point-of-sale frequently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience working with Class B Network.
  • Experience working with Spec's.

Salary Range: $66,300 - $103,800 annually based on location and experience level. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance. Certain sales positions are also eligible for a car allowance.
