Business Development Representative

Total compensation includes base salary and uncapped commission. We offer guaranteed commission at a minimum for the first three months, along with competitive benefits. This position will be hybrid, with three days per week spent in the office or market, and those days can be flexible with your manager's consultation.
As a Business Development Representative at the Dallas Business Journal, you will work with market leaders and trailblazers who trust us to deliver news and information that impacts their business. You will have a seat at the table with the business community's most influential and affluent professionals.

Key Responsibilities:- Prospect and generate high-quality targets using our sales process
- Meet key performance metrics and goals on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis
- Actively diversify the client base by offering strategic solutions with a viable revenue mix
- Develop and present customized advertising solutions
- Effectively manage the sales pipeline and revenue gaps using Salesforce
- Constantly develop market intelligence and general business acumen
- Cultivate relationships within the business community through consistent networking and attendance at all Business Journal-sponsored events
- Exhibit a coachable mindset and take an active role in training and development
