About the Role
In this pivotal position, you will spearhead the competitive intelligence initiatives for our Personal Care product line, ensuring the integration of advanced research methodologies and industry best practices.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Directing the competitive intelligence strategy, focusing on the evaluation and analysis of market competitors.
  • Conducting thorough audits and benchmarking exercises to track competitive products, while developing and executing strategies to assess and interpret market trends and product modifications.
  • Collaborating with Research & Engineering teams, marketing, legal, and corporate strategy departments to ensure cohesive efforts.
  • Leveraging competitive insights to shape ongoing business projects and strategies, thereby enhancing the company's market positioning and fostering product innovation.
  • Overseeing the management of the competitive intelligence database, ensuring meticulous documentation and ongoing refinement of best practices.
  • Creating and delivering analytical reports and visual tools to effectively communicate findings to various business units.
  • Sharing insights and trends with relevant stakeholders, offering strategic recommendations based on your analyses.
  • Providing mentorship and coaching in competitive insights to product development leads and technicians.
  • Participating in competitive claims evaluations, patent assessments, and cost analysis.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical roles, demonstrating leadership and a track record of achieving results.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in conducting business analysis and informed decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in competitive intelligence, consumer products, materials, or product development.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with technical knowledge in product quality, testing methodologies, and laboratory practices.
