Position Overview

The role of the Senior Specialist in Global Procurement for Capital Equipment is essential in our mission to enhance care globally. We are looking for an individual who is committed to making a significant impact through their expertise and dedication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various business stakeholders to assess and strategize Capital Equipment requirements.
  • Establish a global strategy for the designated category, managing an annual budget between $100 million and $200 million.
  • Contribute insights to the overarching global equipment strategy, considering market trends and supplier capabilities.
  • Oversee the execution of the category strategy and its implementation.
  • Facilitate sourcing events for equipment procurement.
  • Lead the execution of strategic initiatives within the category.
  • Manage supplier relationships, addressing and resolving any continuity challenges.
  • Act as a resource for analytics, supporting evaluations of the supplier landscape and market conditions.
  • Track and report on cost savings and sourcing initiatives within the category.
  • Assist in the development and upkeep of category knowledge and processes to ensure strategies remain relevant and informed.
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics and initiate reviews to drive improvements and mitigate risks.
  • Build and maintain trust with suppliers through integrity and a results-oriented approach.
  • Foster effective communication with all suppliers and stakeholders.
