Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the competitive intelligence initiative for Personal Care products, ensuring adherence to best practices and advanced research methodologies.
  • Conduct thorough audits and benchmarking, while monitoring competitive offerings to develop and implement strategies for analyzing market trends and product modifications.
  • Collaborate with Research & Engineering teams (product, materials, and process), marketing, legal, patent specialists, sales, and corporate strategy units.
  • Utilize competitive insights to shape ongoing business projects and strategies, enhancing the company's market presence and driving product innovation.
  • Manage the competitive intelligence database, ensuring precise documentation and ongoing enhancement of best practices.
  • Create and present analytical reports, bulletins, and visual management tools to effectively communicate findings to business unit teams.
  • Share insights and trends with relevant stakeholders, offering strategic recommendations.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship in Competitive Insights to product development leaders and technicians.
  • Engage in competitive claims assessments, patent evaluations, and cost grading analyses.
  • Leverage competitive insights to influence business strategies and product innovation.

  • Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in driving business analysis and informed decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in competitive intelligence, consumer products, materials, and/or product development.
  • Robust analytical skills with technical knowledge in product quality, testing methodologies, and laboratory techniques.
