About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Associate of Strategic Finance to join our dynamic team. This role demands an individual with outstanding financial modeling capabilities and adept problem-solving skills. The selected candidate will engage in special projects across various departments, providing analytical support for our Executive Team, Board of Directors, and external investors. Key responsibilities include conducting financial analyses to support our business model, encompassing detailed revenue projections, margin assessments, and expense forecasts. This position is vital in assessing and projecting the financial ramifications of Dr. Squatch's core growth strategies, aiding in the evaluation of key performance indicators that shape our future direction.

This role will report to the Senior Manager of Strategic Finance.

This is a full-time, hybrid position offering company benefits.

What You'll Do:
  • Conduct financial analysis and reporting, including ongoing trend assessments and monthly performance reporting.
  • Manage the relationship with the Accounting Department, focusing on finance-oriented reviews.
  • Develop financial models with an emphasis on:
    • Direct-to-consumer cohort analysis and trends.
    • Behavioral analysis of new versus existing customers in relation to our forecasts.
    • Retail point-of-sale data analysis, including market sizing and trend evaluations.
    • Expense forecasting.
    • Assist in liquidity planning and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with Operations on product margin and contribution analysis.
  • Support special projects related to retail, international expansion, and product development.
  • Provide budgeting assistance across marketing and other departments.
  • Engage in additional projects as assigned.
About You:
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in finance.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong financial modeling expertise.
  • Experience in investment banking or private equity is required; operational finance experience is a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Proactive problem solver with a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for internal financial recommendations and external investor relations.
  • Interest in health and wellness, personal care, and/or eCommerce sectors.
  • Experience with consumer product and direct-to-consumer business models is highly valued.
  • Ability to achieve results with limited resources, demonstrating innovation and urgency.
  • High standards and ownership of work, invested in outcomes.
