Position Summary:
The Financial Analyst will play a pivotal role within the finance team based in Del Rey, CA. This position is anticipated to deliver both financial and strategic business insights while effectively communicating with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will need to comprehend how operational decisions and processes influence business and financial outcomes. This understanding will enable them to educate stakeholders both within and outside the Finance/Accounting divisions regarding P&L analysis.

Engagement with Stakeholders:
Collaboration will be required with various departments at our operational sites, including Fresh, Beverage, and Supply Chain Operations, as well as support functions such as HR, Quality, Sanitation, Safety, Customer Service, and Corporate Finance & Accounting teams. This finance role will also involve interaction with our primary external growers.

Exciting Projects:
We are continuously seeking to enhance our processes and elevate the financial acumen of our operational teams. This may involve developing new KPIs for emerging business lines, such as spring arils, and assisting operations teams in quantifying savings from process modifications and new product development packaging trials.

Key Duties:

  • Assist in the monthly closing process, including variance analysis, journal entries, general ledger scrutiny, and other accounting functions.
  • Oversee monthly cost center evaluations, including presenting financial results to senior management.
  • Prepare Plant KPIs and engage in KPI assessments.
  • Manage the Outside Grower process, which includes generating related purchase orders, daily pack-out preparations, and payment calculations.
  • Utilize Oracle financial systems and other software to create, develop, and communicate insightful reporting tools.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of progressive experience in finance or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct financial analysis and effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.

Compensation:
Salary range is $65,000-$75,000, with the potential for a discretionary bonus based on skills and experience.
