Position Overview:

We are in search of a Senior Associate of Strategic Finance who possesses outstanding financial modeling capabilities and analytical skills. This role will be integral in supporting various projects across all departments, providing critical analysis for our Executive Team, Board of Directors, and external investors. The successful candidate will conduct financial assessments to aid in the company's operational model, focusing on revenue projections, margin analysis, and expense forecasting. This position will play a vital role in assessing the financial implications of Dr. Squatch's key growth strategies and refining our performance metrics.

This position will report to the Senior Manager of Strategic Finance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct financial analysis and reporting, including ongoing trend evaluations and monthly performance reports.
  • Manage the relationship with the Accounting Department, emphasizing finance-oriented reviews.
  • Develop financial models focusing on:
    • Direct-to-Consumer cohort analysis and trends.
    • Behavioral analysis of new versus existing customers in relation to projections.
    • Retail Point of Sale data analysis, including market sizing and trend evaluations.
    • Expense forecasting.
    • Support liquidity planning and forecasting efforts.
  • Collaborate with Operations on product margin and contribution analysis.
  • Assist with special projects related to retail, international expansion, and product development.
  • Provide budgeting support across marketing and other departments.
  • Engage in additional projects as assigned.
Candidate Profile:
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in finance.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong financial modeling expertise.
  • Experience in investment banking or private equity is essential; operational finance experience is a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Proactive problem solver with a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement.
  • Interest in health and wellness, personal care, and eCommerce sectors.
  • Experience with consumer product and Direct-to-Consumer business models is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively with limited resources, demonstrating innovation and urgency.
