Key Responsibilities:
  • The candidate should have over 10 years of expertise in the construction sector, including at least 3 years in a non-supervisory capacity, guiding project teams on-site or managing personnel in previous leadership roles.
  • Possesses advanced knowledge in HVAC and Security sectors, along with expertise in Safety and Commissioning. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, mentoring, evaluating, and, when necessary, recommending the termination of operations staff. Ensures adherence to company policies related to safety, resource utilization, tools, and employee training/development.
  • This role involves overseeing operations staff in compliance with company HR policies and procedures, typically reporting to an Operations Manager.
Qualifications for Success:
  • Conduct annual and mid-year performance evaluations for team members, setting performance objectives.
  • Develop training programs for all staff and promote continuous professional development.
  • Engage in regular site inspections and one-on-one meetings with direct reports to foster communication and gather customer feedback for team performance improvement.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for the department or branch.
  • Ensure that team members are equipped with the necessary tools and safety personal protective equipment (PPE) to fulfill their duties on-site.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to direct reports regarding daily construction and commissioning challenges, sharing best practices.
  • Stay updated on advancements in field tools and technology, applying them to projects or business processes as needed.
  • Accountable for effective scheduling and utilization of team members.
  • Encourage innovative installation, safety, and commissioning practices within the department or branch.
  • Manage the documentation process, scheduling, and execution of sales release meetings.
  • Assist sales teams in reviewing project cost estimates and in creating sales stage deliverables.
  • Lead quality assurance and safety audit initiatives for the department or branch, approving audits conducted by others.
  • Manage key performance indicators on behalf of the Operations Manager.
  • Design and implement training for subcontractors to enhance their understanding of design specifications.
Educational Requirements:
  • A four-year degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
For this position, the anticipated salary range is $100,000 to $140,000 annually, which encompasses base salary and short-term incentives. This compensation range applies to candidates located within the United States. Salary determinations are based on a review of roles with similar responsibilities and levels. Individual compensation is influenced by various factors, including performance, expertise, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric also provides a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees, including flexible work arrangements, paid family leave, and a 401(k) plan.
