We are seeking skilled Construction Managers to oversee significant construction initiatives in Cecil County, MD, specifically for the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT).

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of pertinent experience in transportation inspection, particularly in heavy highway, bridge, and roadway construction, along with all requisite certifications.
  • High School diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience in construction inspection across diverse projects, including interstate, roadway, bridge, storm drainage, TMDL, and building facility contracts, adhering to MDOT SHA construction standards.
  • Expertise in generating construction inspection documentation, such as Inspector Daily Reports, Force Account Records, and comprehensive progress reports.
  • Capability to acquire necessary certifications, including MARTCP, SHA Temporary Traffic Control Manager's Training Course Card, MDE RPC Card, and SHA E&S Yellow Card.
  • Completion of OSHA 10-hour training (provided by WRA).
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, dependable transportation, and readiness to travel to various construction sites.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret technical plans and specifications.
  • Strong writing and drawing skills for effective report completion.
  • Basic computer proficiency, particularly in Word and Excel.
  • Willingness to work night shifts, overtime, and occasional overnight travel.
