Position Overview:

This role involves undertaking new construction or restoration tasks on marine structures such as docks, boathouses, seawalls, retaining walls, boatlifts, decks, piling, boardwalks, and dune walkovers for both commercial and residential shoreline projects.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.

· Proficient in operating various woodworking machinery.

Experience:

· Minimum of 3 years in marine construction, with knowledge of formwork, concrete pouring, and pile driving.

· Familiarity with the installation of sheet piles, prestressed concrete piles, tubular steel piles, and H-Piles.

· Experience in constructing bridges, walkways, piers, boat ramps, seawalls, docks, wharfs, and jetties.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and capable of adapting to new software, including safety and project reporting tools.

Skills:

· Committed to fostering a safety-oriented culture, looking out for oneself and others.

· Capable of cutting and welding steel, utilizing underwater welding and burning equipment.

· Highly reliable with strong organizational skills, able to work independently.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively lead a team and engage with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

· Execute marine construction tasks under the guidance of a crew leader.

· Shape, cut, drill, and assemble heavy treated timber components.

· Install various concrete form ties and assist with reinforcement and grading for concrete operations.

· Operate power tools safely, including saws, grinders, and drills.

· Perform accurate layout using measurement tools.

· Rig materials for safe transportation.

· Signal and manage heavy loads with crane or specialized lifting equipment.

· Undertake additional duties as required.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

· Engage in physical activities requiring significant use of arms and legs, including climbing, lifting, and handling materials.

· Lift heavy objects (94 lbs. or more) over short distances.

· Transport lighter objects over longer distances.

· Work in various weather conditions with exposure to the elements.

· Perform tasks at heights exceeding 50 feet.

· Operate equipment while maintaining an adequate field of vision.

· Maintain adequate hearing to receive instructions and respond to safety warnings.

Compensation:

Hourly rates range from $25 to $45.
