Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Experience with various woodworking tools and equipment.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years in marine construction, with knowledge of formwork, concrete pouring, and pile driving.
  • Familiarity with the installation of sheet piles, prestressed concrete piles, tubular steel piles, and H-Piles.
  • Experience in constructing bridges, walkways, piers, boat ramps, seawalls, docks, wharfs, and jetties.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of learning new software applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute marine construction tasks under the guidance of a crew leader.
  • Shape, cut, drill, and assemble heavy treated timber components.
  • Install concrete form ties and assist with reinforcement and grading tasks.
  • Safely operate various power tools and equipment.
  • Accurately perform layout tasks using appropriate measuring tools.
  • Signal and manage heavy loads during lifting operations.
  • Undertake additional duties as required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Engage in physical activities requiring strength and stamina, including climbing, lifting, and balancing.
  • Handle heavy objects and work in diverse weather conditions.
  • Perform tasks at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment as necessary.

Compensation:

Hourly rates range from $25 to $45, commensurate with experience.
