Position: Cloud Security Architect

Location: Multi location (USA) (Onsite)

Duration: Long Term Contract

Job Summary:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science is preferred; however, candidates with a High School diploma/GED and substantial experience in Information Systems or Computer Science will also be considered.
  • Proficient in Linux and Windows operating systems along with cloud provider ecosystems such as Amazon AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS foundational services encompassing compute, networking, storage, content delivery, administration, security, deployment, management, and automation technologies.
  • Strong background in microservices programming (AWS Lambda, Docker, etc.).
  • Significant experience in architecting, designing, and developing applications, with proficiency in high-level programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Visual Basic.
  • Ability to design highly available systems utilizing load balancing, horizontal scalability, and ensuring high availability.
  • DevOps expertise in building and deploying infrastructure using cloud deployment, build, and test automation technologies like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Docker, Jenkins, etc.
  • Familiarity with AWS Cloud Services (EC2, DynamoDB, API Gateway, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Route 53, etc.).
  • Comprehension of complex enterprise environments and contemporary technology domains such as cloud and mobility.
  • Certification: Candidates should possess CISSP or equivalent security-related industry certifications and AWS Associate or higher Certification.
  • Communication Skills: Essential for cloud security engineers to effectively communicate with diverse audiences, including business leaders, engineers, clients, and team members. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for conveying information appropriately.
  • Team Collaboration: The Cloud Security Engineer must be a team-oriented individual, working collaboratively with various multi-disciplinary teams to achieve group objectives.
  • Analytical and Troubleshooting Skills: Applicants should possess the technical expertise to continuously monitor systems for threats and vulnerabilities, implement security architecture, and ensure protection against external threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate security and technical requirements into business requirements and communicate security risks to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on information security architecture and systems engineering to IT and business teams.
  • Offer input and feedback on security architectures.
  • Implement security architectures for cloud and hybrid systems.
  • Utilize cloud-based APIs to develop network/system level tools for safeguarding cloud environments.
  • Automate security controls, data, and processes to enhance metrics and operational support.
  • Apply a solid understanding and experience with systems automation platforms and technologies.
  • Participate in shaping the organization's security policies and standards for cloud environments.
  • Guide and influence multi-disciplinary teams in the implementation and operation of Cyber Security controls.
  • Collaborate with application developers and database administrators to deliver innovative solutions to complex technology challenges and business requirements.
  • Engage with business teams to understand their technical and business requirements.
  • Support issues related to business applications and testing.
  • Conduct technical/business demonstrations on completed business requirements.
  • Stay informed about emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and controls.
  • Identify and implement new security technologies and best practices into the company's Cloud offerings.
