We are seeking a highly motivated Solutions Architect to join our team at Amazon Web Services, Inc. as part of our growing GovTech business. As a Solutions Architect, you will play a key role in helping to establish Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a leading technology platform for Government Technology companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects
  • Defining implementation architectures, responding to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and developing a deep expertise in AWS technologies
  • Being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services
  • Providing exceptional technical design and thought leadership to the GovTech markets for cloud computing
  • Leading efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas, such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, and data & analytics
  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures
  • 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries
  • Experience in a technical role within a sales organization
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience
  • Experience working with end-user or developer communities
  • Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
