About Our Client

Our client is a rapidly growing IPP with a strong reputation in the industry, expanding its US operations with a substantial pipeline of utility-scale storage projects in ERCOT, CAISO & WECC.

Job Description

The VP of Development will lead project development activities, including greenfield and co-development projects, and manage a multi-discipline development team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading project development activities, including acquisition of exclusivity and options on land, permitting and statutory approvals, and landowner and community engagement.
  • Developing strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including developers, utility partners, and DSOs and TSOs.
  • Managing a project management function and external consultants.
  • Leading interactions with key EPC partners and assisting with offtake and capital raising activities.
Requirements

The successful applicant will have:

  • 8+ years of development experience in the industry.
  • Experience in overseeing and delivering utility-scale solar or battery projects.
  • Exposure to developing projects in WECC or CAISO or ERCOT.
  • Well-rounded project management experience.
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
