Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced VP of Development to lead our development activities in the West Region, covering Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona, and Colorado.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all development aspects for speculative and build-to-suit projects, including entitlement, design, and permitting processes.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, collaborating with stakeholders, and mentoring and leading junior colleagues.

- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders, including Customer Led Development (CLD), Customer Led Solutions (CLS), Capital Deployment, leasing, and Regional Property Management.
- Accountability for development portfolio performance (design, cost, schedule, quality, safety).
- Mentor and lead junior colleagues by providing feedback, supervising performance, sharing expertise, and honing judgment skills.
- Coach the local Prologis Development project management team across performance, staffing, and growth.
- Accountability for ongoing innovation and initiatives.
- Drive impact and show strength of lean construction, GC bid negotiations, and design optimization initiatives against targets.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with local jurisdictions, general contractors, and design consultants.
- 10+ years' experience in a similar role working in the field of Real Estate Development, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- Computer proficiency in MS Project, Bluebeam, Google Earth, and normal Microsoft 360 tools.
- Experience championing a project from acquisition through due diligence, entitlements, permitting, and construction.
- Self-motivated and able to multi-task and prioritize with minimal direction.
- Hardworking, positive demeanor, and a standout colleague and customer service-oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive in approaching solutions and problem-solving.
- Promote the Prologis brand with passion in a positive, can-do demeanor with a real focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
- Consistent track record working in the field of land development and construction management.
- Ability to travel up to 60% within the West Region (dependent on project location).
- Bachelor's of Science in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering (Civil or Structural) or equivalent experience.
- Experience on design/build projects.
- Project management experience with a general contractor or owner's rep.
- Resiliency and being proactive in receiving constructive criticism with a strong continuous-improvement mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing and challenging environment.
Hiring Salary Range: $178,000 - $235,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target & LTI) to be determined by the candidate's location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
