Job Summary

Fannie Mae is seeking a seasoned underwriting professional to lead the credit decision-making process for Multifamily Affordable Housing and Structured Facilities products. As VP, MF Underwriting - Specialty Products, you will direct and manage a team of underwriters, ensuring high-quality credit decisions and adherence to corporate risk tolerance parameters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the credit decision-making process for MAH and Structured acquisition transactions.
  • Lead and oversee the work of employees aligned to the Specialty Products MF Credit Underwriting Team.
  • Develop and implement policies, credit guidance, and methodologies with the SVP, Chief Underwriter.
  • Engage with Research and Analytics to guide the development of MAH and Structured risk measures.
  • Partner with Product Development to assess and implement updates to MAH and Structured products.
Requirements
  • At least 10 years' experience in underwriting multifamily loans, with a focus on affordable housing and/or structured facilities.
  • A minimum of 8 years of leadership experience, with a passion for talent development and people leadership.
  • Strong executive communication and influencing skills, with a proven track record of building internal and external relationships.
  • Strong analytics acumen, with experience working with data visualization tools.
  • Operational Excellence mindset, with experience improving and overseeing operations.
