Overview: Oversee the operational functions of the New Business Regional Marketing Specialist division. Proactively engage with potential client accounts and carrier partners. Assist commercial lines sales representatives. Deliver marketing insights, negotiate insurance terms, and manage the client onboarding process effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

· Spearhead marketing initiatives and negotiate insurance placements for middle market clients in the designated region.

  • Collaborate with production, operations, and technology teams to create specifications, submissions, and engage with markets.
  • Responsible for the complete recruitment, management, and development of the assigned team, including monitoring staffing levels, workload distribution, training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure the team's compliance with service standards through Key Performance Indicator (KPI) assessments.
  • Generate and review various monthly reports to confirm that all new business opportunities are addressed promptly, including post-binding activities and team members' pending tasks.
  • Conduct periodic quality audits as required.
  • Provide specialized knowledge in managing the service of new clients, encompassing sales, account development, and issue resolution. Adhere to client objectives, service standards, and USI best practices.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on USI's proprietary platform and solutions, including the stewardship process.
  • Contribute valuable insights during strategic meetings.
  • Occasionally visit prospects as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with sales representatives to assess the commercial lines insurance needs of prospects.
  • Develop submissions for carriers and secure quotes. Address inquiries from underwriters.
  • Negotiate terms with carriers on behalf of clients.
  • Complete the marketing process and prepare relevant proposal presentations.
  • Secure coverage for clients and manage the client onboarding process.
  • Enhance knowledge of insurance markets on behalf of USI.
  • Cultivate relationships with carrier underwriters and representatives.
  • Serve as a technical authority on market trends, pricing strategies, and underwriting policies.
  • Maintain high accuracy in agency management and documentation systems.
  • Stay informed about industry developments, new product information, regulations, coverages, and technology advancements.

Qualifications:

  • 6-7 years of experience in commercial property & casualty insurance agency, with a thorough understanding of all property & casualty insurance coverages, underwriting, and rating principles.
  • Previous experience in marketing and negotiating with insurance carriers and effective communication with producers is essential.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a managerial role is advantageous, with the ability to lead effectively.
  • Must possess a state Property & Casualty insurance license.
  • Industry designations such as ARM, CIC, and CPCU are preferred.
  • Ability to execute complex tasks involving various concrete and abstract variables.
  • Proficient in internet-based applications and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with Sagitta/ImageRight is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, carriers, vendors, and other business partners.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Salary Range: $115,000 - $120,000
