Key Responsibilities:

· Spearhead marketing initiatives and negotiate insurance placements for middle market clients in the designated region.

  • Collaborate with production, operations, and technology teams to develop specifications, submissions, and engage with markets.
  • Responsible for the full-cycle recruitment, management, and growth of the assigned team. This includes monitoring staffing levels, workload distribution, training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure the team's compliance with service standards through Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analysis.
  • Generate and review various monthly reports to guarantee timely attention to all new business. This encompasses post-binding activities, team members' pending items, workloads, and backlog management.
  • Conduct periodic quality assessments as necessary.
  • Provide expert guidance in coordinating the service of new clients, including sales, account development, and issue resolution. Align with client objectives, service standards, and USI best practices.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in USI's proprietary platform and solutions, including the stewardship process.
  • Contribute valuable insights during strategic meetings.
  • Occasionally visit prospects as required.
  • Collaborate closely with sales representatives to assess prospects' commercial lines insurance requirements.
  • Prepare submissions for carriers and secure quotes. Address underwriters' inquiries promptly.
  • Negotiate terms with carriers on behalf of clients.
  • Conclude the marketing process and prepare suitable proposal presentations.
  • Secure coverage for clients and execute the client onboarding procedure.
  • Enhance knowledge of insurance markets on behalf of USI.
  • Build relationships with carrier underwriters and representatives.
  • Serve as a technical authority on market trends, pricing strategies, and underwriting policies.
  • Maintain high accuracy in agency management and documentation systems.
  • Stay updated with industry developments, new product information, legislation, coverages, and technology.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 6-7 years of experience in commercial property & casualty insurance agency. Thorough understanding of all property & casualty insurance coverages, underwriting, and rating principles.
  • Previous marketing and negotiation experience with insurance carriers and effective communication with producers is essential.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Prior managerial experience is advantageous. Ability to lead others effectively.
  • Must possess a state Property & Casualty insurance license.
  • Industry designations such as ARM, CIC, and CPCU are preferred.
  • Capability to execute complex tasks involving numerous concrete and abstract variables.
  • Proficient in internet-based applications and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiarity with Sagitta/ImageRight is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, carriers, vendors, and other business contacts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Salary Range: $115,000 - $120,000
