Overview: Oversee the daily functions of the New Business Regional Marketing Specialist division. Proactively engage with potential client accounts and collaborate with carrier partners. Assist commercial lines sales representatives and provide comprehensive marketing analytics, negotiate coverage options, and manage the client onboarding process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct marketing efforts and negotiate insurance placements for middle market clients within the region.
  • Collaborate with production, operations, and technology teams to develop specifications and submissions while negotiating with markets.
  • Responsible for the complete recruitment, management, and development of the assigned team, including monitoring staffing levels, workload distribution, training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure the team's compliance with service standards through Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking.
  • Generate and review various monthly reports to confirm timely attention to all new business opportunities, including post-binding activities and team member tasks.
  • Conduct periodic quality audits as required.
  • Provide technical guidance in managing the service of new clients, aligning with client objectives and industry best practices.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on USI's proprietary platforms and solutions.
  • Contribute insights and strategies during team meetings.
  • Occasional visits to potential clients as necessary.
  • Work closely with sales representatives to assess the commercial lines insurance needs of prospects.
  • Prepare submissions for carriers and secure quotes, addressing underwriters' inquiries.
  • Negotiate terms with carriers on behalf of clients.
  • Conclude the marketing process and create relevant proposal presentations.
  • Facilitate coverage binding for clients and execute the onboarding process.
  • Enhance knowledge of insurance markets on behalf of USI.
  • Build relationships with carrier underwriters and representatives.
  • Serve as a technical authority on market trends, pricing strategies, and underwriting policies.
  • Maintain high accuracy in agency management and documentation systems.
  • Stay informed about industry developments, new products, legislation, coverages, and technology.

Qualifications:

  • 6-7 years of experience in commercial property and casualty insurance agencies, with a thorough understanding of relevant coverages, underwriting, and rating principles.
  • Experience in marketing and negotiating with insurance carriers and effective communication with producers is essential.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Prior management experience is advantageous, with a proven ability to lead teams effectively.
  • Must possess a state Property & Casualty insurance license.
  • Industry designations such as ARM, CIC, and CPCU are preferred.
  • Ability to manage complex tasks with multiple variables.
  • Proficient in internet-based applications and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with Sagitta/ImageRight is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional time management skills with the capacity to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, carriers, vendors, and other business contacts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Salary Range: $115,000 - $120,000
