Position Overview

This role is pivotal within the semiconductor inspection and metrology equipment sector, focusing on sales to laboratories nationwide. The ideal candidate will be driven by results, possessing a strong capability to meet projected objectives, engage in strategic negotiations, and align customer process challenges with sophisticated measurement and analytical inspection techniques utilized in the micro-electronics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new client opportunities through diverse strategies while meticulously maintaining account records within the company’s CRM system.
  • Develop and present comprehensive sales proposals and follow up with key stakeholders.
  • Conduct quarterly meetings with new clients and provide standard meeting reports for assigned territories and strategic accounts.
  • Oversee the complete sales cycle from initial inquiry to final acceptance and payment, which includes quoting, providing samples, negotiating terms, confirming orders, and coordinating delivery and payment conditions.
  • Regularly meet with the direct supervisor to assess sales activities, evaluate prospective customer statuses, strategize on achieving sales targets, and review deadlines.
  • Collaborate on quarterly sales planning with input from the direct supervisor to meet sales objectives and travel commitments.
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and follow-up of trade shows alongside other members of the Account Management team.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Expertise in sales planning, forecasting, and strategic account management.
  • Proficiency in product demonstrations and group presentations.
  • Strong negotiation skills with clients and vendors to maximize profitability and mitigate risks.
  • Effective coordination of information, terms, and communication between clients and partner organizations.
  • Organized management of records using a current CRM platform.
  • Time management abilities focused on meeting deadlines.
  • Capability to manage multiple accounts and projects concurrently.
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with clients, particularly in response to inquiries via various communication channels.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and QuickBooks.
  • Experience in technical sales.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Material Science, Physics, or 3-5 years of relevant experience in material science, technical sales, and customer relationship management.

Additional Information:

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Proficiency in Japanese, both reading and writing, is required.
  • This is a hybrid position available after a probationary period.
