Role Responsibilities:

As the Client Accounting Services Manager, you will serve as a trusted consultant and architect of client success. You will oversee a team of skilled professionals, offering them the necessary guidance and support to provide outstanding service. Your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities, from executing essential accounting functions such as reconciliations and financial reporting to managing projects and nurturing client relationships.

Key Duties:

  • Client Engagement: Direct client projects, ensuring precision and adherence to timelines. Establish strong rapport with clients, comprehending their requirements and surpassing their expectations.
  • Accounting Expertise: Execute comprehensive accounting services, including reconciliations, journal entries, financial statements, and forecasts. Prepare documentation for auditors and tax advisors.
  • Leadership Development: Oversee and mentor staff, providing training and fostering a collaborative team culture.
  • Technology Integration: Investigate and implement new accounting software solutions, train team members on their usage, and enhance their application for client projects.
  • Recruitment: Conduct interviews and assess candidates for permanent accounting roles.
Required Qualifications:
  • Must possess a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Minimum of 6 years of comprehensive accounting experience, preferably in a mid-market CPA environment.
  • Experience with privately held businesses is essential.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a commitment to mentoring and professional development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster solid client relationships.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting is preferred.
  • Proficient in accounting software, including Excel, with a willingness to adopt new systems.
  • Must have reliable access to a vehicle for client and office engagements.
