Job Title: Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health Access and Disposition

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health team as a Central Access and Disposition Nurse. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the efficient and effective management of behavioral health patients across our system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expertise in behavioral and medical needs of behavioral health patients, identifying placement barriers and assessing most appropriate treatment settings.
  • Support efficient behavioral health throughput system-wide, at the time of admission, throughout admission, and at the time of discharge.
  • Work closely with MGB BMH leadership to deliver on established performance and efficiency metrics, tracking, analyzing, and presenting data demonstrating progress, impact, and areas for improvement.
  • Lead change management efforts, maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders to ensure active engagement and broad commitment to system-focused culture.

Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Experience in behavioral health nursing, with a strong understanding of inpatient medical competencies and medical clearance criteria.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain multidisciplinary and cross-site relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to track and communicate trends in barriers to admission and external referrals.
  • Ability to work in a remote, data-driven, technology-enabled environment, with a strong interest in and ability to lead in this type of setting.
