Job Title: Behavioral Health Access and Assessment Nurse

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Access and Assessment Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral and Mental Health team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of behavioral health services across our system.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expertise in behavioral and medical needs assessment for behavioral health patients, identifying placement barriers and recommending the most appropriate treatment setting.
  • Work closely with clinical leaders systemwide to support efficient behavioral health throughput, from admission to discharge.
  • Develop and implement data-driven solutions to improve access and disposition planning, leveraging data analytics and clinical expertise.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to foster effective change management and systemwide integration.
  • Manage projects and initiatives to improve behavioral health services, working closely with leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Massachusetts, required.
  • 5 years of inpatient psychiatry unit and/or emergency department experience, with a focus on behavioral health assessment and service coordination.
  • Proven experience in project management, with a strong understanding of data analytics and clinical implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization.
