Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Behavioral Health Access and Assessment Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral and Mental Health team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of behavioral health patients across our system.
Responsibilities:- Provide expertise in behavioral and medical needs assessment and coordination for behavioral health patients.
- Work closely with clinical leaders to develop and implement strategies for efficient behavioral health throughput.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and address placement barriers and resource needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clinical and administrative leaders across the system.
- Manage projects and initiatives to improve access and disposition planning.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN required.
- Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Massachusetts.
- 5 years of inpatient psychiatry unit and/or emergency department experience.
- 5 years of nurse leader experience, such as flow coordinator, access nurse, bed control, supervisor in a psychiatric setting, inpatient behavioral health charge nurse or clinical coordinator.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Experience with data analytics and project management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
