Are you a financial expert with a passion for maintaining accurate records and ensuring every transaction is meticulously tracked? North Pacific Management is seeking an Accounting Lead to oversee the financial operations at our esteemed establishment. In this pivotal position, you will manage the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring precise reconciliations for both hospitality and dining services.

Position Overview: You will be responsible for the financial activities related to payables and receivables, as well as overseeing the management of the accounts payable/receivable team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the distribution of invoices to various departments for approval and coding, ensuring accurate entry for prompt payment processing.
  • Maintain thorough filing systems for unpaid and paid invoices, reconcile vendor statements, and address any discrepancies.
  • Handle the preparation of annual 1099 forms.
  • Generate accurate and timely invoices for corporate, group, and private dining clients, follow up on overdue accounts, and accurately post check payments.
  • Oversee the management of the gift certificate accounts for the hotel and dining services, prepare quarterly tax-exempt summaries, and provide monthly aging reports.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service for billing inquiries and credit references.
  • Execute month-end procedures for corporate financial statement preparation.
  • Reconcile credit card transactions and bank accounts, demonstrating a solid understanding of general ledger accounting principles.

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in hotel accounting is required.
  • Expertise in bank reconciliation and some experience with general ledger preferred.
  • An associate degree in accounting or equivalent practical experience is necessary.
  • Proficiency in general accounting practices and Microsoft Excel/Word is essential.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills are required.
  • A commitment to accuracy and the ability to work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision are crucial.
