Role Overview: The Senior Vice President of U.S. Commercial Strategy will play a pivotal role in overseeing all operational functions within the U.S. commercial framework. This executive will lead initiatives in business analytics, incentive compensation, training, and launch excellence, directly reporting to the regional general manager and contributing to the U.S. commercial leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Operations & Effectiveness: Collaborate with commercial leadership to devise and execute a field deployment strategy for Avidity's product launches.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside market access, sales, legal, and finance teams to evaluate and implement strategic pricing and contracting opportunities.
  • Operational Management: Oversee daily operations of Commercial Operations, including sales planning, training, compliance, communications, territory design, and incentive compensation.
  • Meeting Facilitation: Organize and lead all commercial team meetings, including launch and annual gatherings.
  • External Partnerships: Identify and engage with external partners to enhance competencies for product launches.
  • Training Development: Create comprehensive training programs for both field and in-house teams.

Business Insights & Analytics: Partner with IT to develop actionable analytics tools and dashboards, ensuring alignment with commercial goals.

Revenue Forecasting: Collaborate with Finance and Global Commercial Operations to maintain accurate revenue forecasting models.

Patient Support & Services: Establish compliant data repositories to support patient services and enhance customer experience.

Technology & Innovation: Lead the development of a commercial enterprise strategy focused on data and oversee the implementation of Sales Force Automation systems.

Team Leadership: Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing Commercial Operations team while managing the budget process in collaboration with finance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or related graduate-level degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience across various commercial functions.
  • Proven track record in product launches, particularly in rare diseases.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools like Excel.
  • Understanding of U.S. regulatory compliance in a biotech context.
  • Excellent project management and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
