Position Overview:

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Senior Engineer specializing in Power Systems Control Solutions.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $ $ a year.

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Engineer will spearhead the design, testing, and deployment of power systems control solutions tailored for our clientele, utilizing PLCs, HMIs, Multi-function Protection Relays, and Data Concentrators from leading OEMs. The Power Systems Controls (PSC) team is a comprehensive integrator of essential systems, equipment, and technologies, delivering complete power systems automation solutions. This skilled team of engineers and technicians ensures seamless integration across various manufacturers of HMIs, PLCs, protective relays, and components.

In this role, you will:
  • Develop, modify, test, and implement software for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for Power Transfer applications such as Main-Tie-Main, Main-Gen, and Paralleling Switchgears.
  • Adhere to customer specifications and internal guidelines for project execution.
  • Select components and prepare bills of materials.
  • Provide sketches and guidance to Electrical Designers for project drawings.
  • Prepare customer submittals, Sequence of Operation (SOO), and testing protocols.
  • Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as necessary.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with non-functioning systems.
Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution with a minimum of 7 years of controls experience or at least 10 years of controls experience in power distribution.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • No relocation benefits are offered for this position. Candidates must reside within the specified locations to be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License.
  • Familiarity with Power Monitoring and Control Systems and related protocols (Modbus, DNP3, IEC-61850).
